Our litigation practice is broad in scope but with a particular focus on the areas of estate litigation and commercial litigation.

Our office provides all services relating to the administration of estates in an efficient, yet sensitive, manner, including meeting with Estate Trustees to provide them with initial advice and directions, preparing and submitting Applications for Certificates of Appointment of Estate Trustees (with or without a Will), ongoing estate administration and, when necessary, resolution of estate-related disputes.

Jason is the managing partner of Stutz Brown & Self. Since being called to the bar in 2005, Jason has worked tirelessly to establish a loyal client base with relationships built on trust. Jason enjoys a general solicitor's practice with emphasis on residential and commercial real estate, wills and estate planning, estate administration, corporate and small business. Jason is honoured to have a diverse client mix that includes many local businesses and individuals. Jason is a proud father of two wonderful children.  Away from the office he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching minor hockey, exercising daily and talking sports.
Robert K. Brown, partner

Robert K. Brown

Rob was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995. Prior to joining our firm, he practised law with a high profile litigation firm in downtown Toronto and worked on some of the most notable cases before the Ontario courts. Rob has appeared on matters in all levels of the Ontario courts including a number of appearances at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. In his 27 years of practice, Rob has gained extensive experience in litigation, dispute resolution, mediation, and arbitration. Rob practices civil litigation and, although he counsels clients on  a variety of matters, he has a particular focus on Trust and  Estates Litigation, Estates Administration, and General Commercial Litigation.  Outside of work Rob enjoys time with his family, travel, softball, hiking and volunteering within his community as President of the Optimist Club of Orangeville.

Steve  graduated with the third-ever graduating class from the University of Windsor's joint Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Laws program with the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. He received law degrees on both sides of the border and graduated cum laude from Detroit Mercy. Steve’s time at law school included a Public Interest Law Fellowship in Accra, Ghana.   Prior to law school, Steve obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Bishop's University in Quebec, with a major in psychology and minor in music. Steve’s general area of practice includes commercial and residential real estate law, wills and powers of attorney, providing legal services to municipalities, and assisting with corporate and business matters.  Outside of the office, Steve enjoys travelling and spending time with his family.
